 Purpose and scope

The instrument is designed and made as per the requirement of the T0334-1994 Fine Mineral Aggregate Sandstone Equivalent Test in the JTJ 058 2000 Test Regulation of Highway Project Mineral Aggregate in the Industry Standard of Peoples Republic of China. The instrument vibrates the sample through the transverse movement of the sample cylinder using an automatic vibrator. It is suitable to determine the content of the clay or impurity in the mineral aggregate so as to evaluate the purity of the mineral aggregate. The sandstone equivalent is expressed by SE.

The instrument is suitable to determine natural sand, manmade sand and saltpeter used in the asphalt mixture and cement concrete. The maximum diameter of the mineral aggregate should not be more than 4.75 mm (round pore sieve 5 mm).
